I'm Alex and this is PopPop. He's our sweet sleepy boy. He was a shy stray cat who I fell in love with and brought into our home and lives after a bit of time and gentle love, and of course, treats too. We've had him a little bit over a year and love having him in our little family. He and his brother get along better than I was even hoping for.
We've been taking him to the vet since bringing him into our apartment, especially since we don't have much knowledge about his previous health or how long he was on the streets. Unfortunately, this appointment we found out that he has severe stomatitis and the best way to give our baby comfort at this rate is for him to have dental surgery and his teeth extracted. All we want to do is give him a life of comfort and health, even though he of course despises the vets (they're always so patient and kind with him, which we're grateful for).
Unfortunately, as soon as his doctor handed me the bill, I almost started sobbing; I had to wait until I got in the car. His mouth extractions will have to be done half at a time, so double the amount as well, and the next procedure would be set up, if I remember correctly, 3-6 weeks after depending on how he recovers. Each extraction appointment will be almost $900, not including the care in between. We are trying our best to raise the funds, between both our jobs, but I'm afraid of it taking too long and we figured we would at least just try and see if this could help. We truly appreciate you taking your time to read this. Nothing is expected, but truly anything helps and is so, so greatly appreciated. Thank you again. Please, have a great day and be safe.
