Support PoPo's Urgent Medical Treatment

Hello everyone!

In the wake of just coming home from our wedding, we were filled with joy and hope for the future. Yet, life quickly threw us into a whirlwind of unexpected challenges.

Right before leaving for our wedding, our dear Poseidon, "PoPo" as many of you affectionately know him, went to the kitty ER for some concerning issues surrounding his ability to urinate and blood found in his pee. We were overjoyed and relieved to learn, after mountains of blood work and urine tests, that he was okay.

Unfortunately, today he quickly went downhill, becoming completely lethargic and unable to urinate. Cory rushed him to the kitty ER, and we learned he has a blockage in his urethra. We were given two options: euthanize him or go down the road of managing the blockage.

For all of you that know PoPo, he is the peppiest, happiest, goofiest, and most playful cat/dog that likely has ever existed. His happiness fills rooms, and his charm seems to instantly woo all of the ladies and gentlemen. We love our PoPo so much, and putting him down was not an option for us.

We unfortunately did not anticipate that what started as a $1k issue has quite quickly mounted to over $5k, and we are hoping that he does not need surgery to clear the blockage, but time will tell. He is currently under the care of Davie's Pet Hospital in Yuba City and there for at least the next two days, again, unless this matter worsens and requires surgery. We are praying that does not become the case as our poor PoPo is struggling enough, and we just want him home with us.

We have never ever considered reaching out for help, but after self-funding our wedding weekend, coming off of a very hard start to 2024 with a total rehab to our CO house after our tenants flooded the basement with human waste, and most recently financially helping and supporting a few friends and family that were impacted by the hurricane in Florida, we find ourselves for the first time in life reaching out for support.

Your kindness would not only ease the financial strain but also remind us that in times of crisis, love and community can shine through the darkness. Together, we hope to ensure that Poseidon receives the care he needs. We’re filled with hope and immense gratitude for the people in our lives and our fellow animal lovers.

Anything is so very appreciated, and we love you all so much.
