Pop! is a short film about Polly, a perfectionist who wakes up on the day of her first ever date with a stubborn pimple. With the help of her friends, she tries every home remedy imaginable to make it disappear before her date arrives. I wrote this story because I believe we often let others' opinions shape how we see ourselves, and I want viewers to relate to Polly’s struggle and realize that we shouldn’t feel ashamed of our shared insecurities.

Your support will help our entire crew throughout the production process. Funds raised will go toward providing meals for our hardworking team, creating unique design elements for the film, and covering any possible film festival fees. Our crew includes myself, Kayla Aaron, as director; Andrew Burbank, producer; Ainsley Dancer, production designer; and Skye Henderson, cinematographer. We come from Kentucky, Tennessee, and California, and we’re all passionate about bringing this project to life and gaining valuable experience in the film industry.

Production for Pop! begins on November 16th, and we’re thrilled to share that the film will be featured in the White Squirrel Film Festival this coming spring. By supporting us, you’re not only helping a group of dedicated filmmakers but also contributing to the growth of local film talent. We’re grateful for any support and can’t wait to share this journey with you.
