My name is America and this is my cat Ponyo. She’s a beautiful, adorable, and very chatty cat who’s 2 years old. The moment she came to our household, she became the life of our family. Unfortunately these past few days, Ponyo had fallen ill and I took her to the Vet Emergency services to figure out what’s wrong with her when it was revealed that she has Pyometra. What is Pyometra? According to online resources, its stated that Pyometra, or pyometritis, is a potentially fatal bacterial infection that occurs when a female animal's uterus fills with pus. The doctors informed me to seek immediate treatment for her but unfortunately I do not have sufficient funds for her surgery. The doctor gave me an estimated cost of 1,200-1,500 for the emergency surgery and I’m afraid of any additional costs that may come with her healing process or newly found medical conditions.
