Update: Since surgery Polly has continued to decline. As of now there is no chamce for recovery. Per Polly's wishes, we are in the process of donating her organs to help others. In the meantime we will need to secure a lawyer, pay for any medical costs leftover by insurance and the household bills until the houae can be sold.
Polly is a devoted mother of four, grandmother to ten, and great-grandmother to four. She has always loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and gardening, and she enjoys working on puzzles. Her warmth and kindness have touched everyone in her family.
On Monday, February 16, Polly suffered a sudden aneurysm and stroke. She is currently in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Regions Hospital, where she will be for an extended period. The following day, doctors were able to stop the bleeding and performed a craniectomy on the right side of her head. Polly is now sedated and on a ventilator as she begins a long road to recovery. Her rehabilitation will be extensive, and it is unlikely she will be able to return to her home.
Our family is raising funds to help cover Polly's medical bills, ongoing care, and the costs associated with her transition to a new living situation. Your support will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on her recovery and well-being. If you're able to help, know that you are very much appreciated. Thank you for keeping Polly in your thoughts and for any support you can offer.
