Hi Everyone,

This isn't something I'd normally do... I'm not one to publicly ask for help but I am always willing to jump in and help where I can for others. So, I figured why not do it for the one I love the most, my dog, Pollo. Pollo needs TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) surgery for her left hind leg. We are in the process of scheduling the surgery so we can begin the long recovery process as soon as possible.

This is a very common injury to dogs with an extensive recovery. Her recovery comes with extra risk due to the nature of the surgery. It will take several weeks to heal if all goes according to plan. My goal in asking for help is to be able to pay for the surgery which is estimated to cost $6k. This does not include post-op care and therapies.

The total fundraising goal reflects the surgery as well as post-op care and therapies, including but not limited to: follow up visits, PEMF mat, cold laser therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care, supplements, and purchasing an at home hydrotherapy treadmill when she's approved to do so.

This surgery has the potential to fail, become infected and she's at risk for the same injury on the opposite leg. So, with your help in providing the utmost care and attention, it is my hope that we can help Pollo recover well and help her live out a happy life for the remainder of her time. Lastly, I've chosen to put my pride aside and do this for Pollo. With a lot of personal expenses happening quite literally all at once, this injury/surgery was devastating in many ways and unexpected to say the least. Thank you again for considering Pollo.
