Hello! My name is Ian Stalnaker, I am a senior in the Spring Woods High School Band. Recently, I went with a group of friends (Moises Hernandez and Jason Garcia), and competed in the annual Solo and Ensemble contest with a Trombone Trio called "Polka Dots." For the first time in my time competing in that contest, we advanced to the state competition in Austin.
This is a huge accomplishment, however it is a costly one for what we are trying to do. In order to be successful we are raising funds for:
- Professional Trombone Clinic
- Extra Rehearsals with our Pianist
- Pianist Performance at State
- Travel and Hotel Cost for Us
- And If possible, Polka Dot Suits for each one of us
We would really appreciate any donation that we could get, big or small. Only a small amount of people get the opportunity to preform at the state level, and even less have the ability to receive the highest honor of being ranked with a 1 at the state level.
