Support Polina's Political Asylum Interview Costs

For those who don't know me, I am still undocumented and for the past 12 (!!!) years I have been on a pending status as a political asylum seeker on the basis of being a queer woman.

The good news is that after many years of being on the wait list, I am finally scheduled to have my political asylum interview. The bad news is that it's in a month and I have to come up with approximately $3,000 in legal fees by then. If I don't, my lawyer is unable to represent me during the interview (him being there with me is essential to have any chance of getting approved). I knew it was happening at some point and I had some money saved up for that, but unfortunately, last year I had some unexpected medical expenses. Because it's so last minute, I have no choice but to use this GoFundMe as the last resort.

I hate that I have to ask others for help, but hopefully, some of you understand and are able to pitch in, even if it's just a few bucks.

P.S. My interview is scheduled the day after my birthday, so if anyone wants to see it as a birthday present, that's ok with me :)
