On Sunday night, a fire caused a total loss at Plant Playground, leaving the business unable to operate.

Plant Playground has been more than just a venue. Over the past four years, Sasha and Alex have built a space that supports creatives, small businesses, workshops, events, and community gatherings — a place many people have used, shared, and felt connected to.

I worked at Plant Playground in its early days and have watched my sister and her partner pour everything into building not just a business, but a genuine community, working six days a week over the past four years.

While some physical contents were insured, the fire has resulted in a sudden loss of income and ongoing costs during the immediate aftermath. I’ve set up this fundraiser to support Sasha and Alex as they work through next steps and navigate recovery.
