PJ's Medical Flight Funeral & Medical expenses

Dear Family, Friends, and Community,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits as we look for support in getting our beloved brother, son, and uncle Paul (PJ) Vercauteren back to Green Bay, WI.

Less than a year ago, PJ was diagnosed with Bone Marrow Cancer and Stage 4 Kidney Failure. With love and support from his wife Sadie, PJ has bravely been battling these illnesses but sadly has been hospitalized in Savannah since March.

Last week, PJ said he wanted to fly back to Green Bay. Due to the fragile nature of his condition, he cannot travel by traditional means. He can only fly on a medical flight with all of the medical equipment to support him safely. That's why we are turning to you, our cherished community, for help. Your generous contributions will not only alleviate the financial burden but also provide us with the peace of mind knowing that we can give PJ one last chance to be home with his family.

The price for the air transport on a Learjet aircraft for approximately 2.5 hours of flying, will be $18,000 after insurance.

This price includes the following:

- Dedicated air ambulance aircraft with a stretcher

- PJ’s required medical equipment on board

- Critical Care RN/RT

- The cost of ground transportation at each end.

Throughout his life, PJ has been the rock, and the best friend to so many, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear without hesitation. Together, we can rally around him and show him the same love and support he has always shown us.
