We are the Zimmers, and in desperate need to raise funds for our cat’s broken leg.

Our five-year-old cat, Pixel, broke his leg two weeks ago. We took him to our local vet, and they were able to set and splint his leg.

Somehow, though, on Thursday, he managed to slip his cast partway off. We took him back to the vet to discover that not only did he dislodge what was healing, but he broke it even further. She told us, unfortunately, she couldn’t do anything further for him and that he needed to get surgery with an orthopedic surgeon.

Late Friday afternoon, we heard back from the ortho, only to find out the cost would be $5000-$7500. We were advised to apply for CareCredit, which we were denied.

His appointment is Tuesday. We have already spent almost $1000 on his leg from the past few visits, had our funds recently depleted due to a different emergency, and are panicking not knowing how to get him the help he needs.

We rescued him off the streets in 2020, and has been with us since he was six weeks old. We are the only family he has ever known, and is our little family’s world. I’m scared of the possibility of needing to surrender him to get him the help he needs. Please find it in your heart to help us.
