Hello friends! I’m coming forward to ask for some help. My sweet hound, Pixel, has thrown me a curve ball and needs her spleen removed (splenectomy) due to a tumor being found. This tumor could be malignant or benign, but the only way to know is to test it once it’s removed. (That’s to be decided later). Either way, this surgery will prevent a traumatic ending to her life and give her more time. I’m asking for support due to the financial burden of this. So far I’ve spent over $1200 on tests alone and the surgery will cost anywhere from $1,600 to 2,400. On top of all of this, Pixel also has an issue with one of her kidneys which will be addressed a month after her surgery. Any support is appreciated, whether monetary or well wishes in general. She is a well-loved dog with a big personality, and I know many are rooting for her. As Sturgill Simpson would say, “she was a hound of hounds, she was the wonder of all walkers,” and my best friend.
