Originalmente de Aguada, Puerto Rico, Pito y su familia residen actualmente en Elgin, Illinois, donde están afrontando desafíos inimaginables.

Desde su diagnóstico, Pito ha mostrado una valentía y determinación excepcionales, pero los costos médicos y los tratamientos necesarios para combatir esta enfermedad están poniendo una carga financiera abrumadora sobre su familia. A pesar de contar con seguro médico, muchos de los gastos, incluidos tratamientos especializados, medicamentos, y cuidados auxiliares, no están cubiertos.
