Help Pitch Recover: A Second Chance for a Resilient Soul

In January 2023, fate brought Pitch into my life in the most unexpected way. He was just a 7-month-old feral kitten when I saw him get hit by a car and left for dead. Without hesitation, I rushed him to an emergency vet, not knowing if he would make it. Against all odds, Pitch survived. During the long and delicate recovery, I cared for him day and night — and somewhere along the way, he became more than a rescue. He became family.

Since then, Pitch has grown into a sweet, gentle, and loving cat — proof that even the most broken beginnings can lead to beautiful bonds. But now, Pitch is facing another life-threatening challenge. He recently suffered a severe urinary blockage, a condition that is not only excruciatingly painful but can also be fatal without immediate treatment. After an emergency procedure to insert a catheter and relieve his bladder, Pitch is stable — but the vet bills have quickly grown to almost $5,000.

I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but I've learned that sometimes asking your community for help is necessary, and right now I need help. Between the medical costs and the emotional toll, it’s been overwhelming. If you’re able to contribute anything — no matter how small — it will go directly toward Pitch’s surgical bill, recovery, medications, follow-up care, and a special urinary diet to keep him healthy. If you can’t donate, sharing this with your community would mean the world.

Thank you for taking the time to read Pitch’s story and for supporting us through this incredibly hard time. He’s fought so hard to live — and with a little help, I believe he can pull through again.

With love and gratitude,
Chris & Pitch
✨ Pitch Update – July 14 ✨
I just got another update from the vet hospital and wanted to share some hopeful news. Pitch made it through the night and is hanging in there. He’s not eating on his own yet, so they’ve been gently syringe-feeding him to keep his strength up.

The plan is to remove his catheter around 5 a.m. tomorrow. If he’s able to pee on his own afterward, they’re hopeful he can come home tomorrow evening.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s donated, shared, or simply sent love. Every bit of support means the world to me and Pitch as we navigate this long road to recovery.

I’ll keep you posted with any updates. Please keep those good thoughts coming — he's fighting hard.

He's home and being monitored!!!!
