Support Pip’s Medical Costs
Donation protected
If you know me, you probably also know my sweet boy Pip. He came into my life unexpectedly in 2016 after his first owner passed, and we had an immediate bond. He’s been with me for most of my adult life including college, graduate school, and residency. Unfortunately, after being with me for my next big milestone of buying my first home, he is now in need of extensive medical attention.
Pip and I have been in and out of the vet for the last week due to worsening breathing problems. On Monday night he started having syncopal events and has been in the veterinary hospital to manage respiratory distress since.
I am humbly asking for donations to help with his medical costs. Having recently purchased my first home, the additional costs of his care have stretched my finances thin and any help is greatly appreciated.
UPDATE 5/14/25: Pip made excellent progress overnight at the animal hospital and is now home with me on a strict medication regimen. He is going to need a very uncommon surgery to keep his airway open long term as he has grade 4 collapse in his cervical trachea and grade 1 in his thoracic trachea. Although this is positive for his prognosis, this adds an additional $10-15k to the costs we’ve already incurred for his emergency care. We are so grateful for the team at 1st Pet Chandler for saving his life and giving us the opportunity to have potentially many more years together.
