In 2015 I decided to browse for rescue dogs for the first time ever. I came across Pippin's face and fell in love. When he was rescued he was in a shelter in Texas, a death sentence for any black dog. It broke my heart to hear that it was his second time in a shelter. That means that at least 2 families dumped him on the streets. Well, as soon as I said I wanted him they flew him right up to me. I was ecstatic. Fast forward 3 months later and I started fostering puppies and dogs. Eventually I started fostering cats, orphan kittens, bottle babies, queens and her babies, rats, bunnies, and guinea pigs. Just this year I rehabbed 2 groups of baby possums and then had them released as adults.
My passion is rescuing these innocent souls, nursing them back to health, and finding them safe and loving homes. I would like to continue helping animals, but I just can't afford it all on my own anymore. A lot of times I use my last dollar on paper towel, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toys, treats. Sometimes food and litter even though I don't really have to.
I have some foster cats and kittens in rooms and outdoor buildings without heat so I use space heaters. This really hikes up the energy bill.
I would love to continue rescuing animals, but I cant do it without your help Let's do this!
