Hi everyone, my name is David. I’m writing this with a heavy heart to ask for help for my best friend and partner in crime, Piper.
Piper is a 4-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who has been by my side since the day she was born in 2021. She is the sweetest, most loving soul I’ve ever come to known, greeting everyone she meets with wagging tails and pure joy.
Piper’s Story
Piper isn't just a dog to me; she has been my rock through my darkest times. Most recently, she has been my silent partner while I’ve been working tirelessly to get into the Registered Nursing (RN) program. Through the late-night studying and the stress of school, she was always there to offer comfort. Everyone she has met, she always welcomes them with open paws.
Now, it’s my turn to take care of her, but I can’t do it alone as of right now.
The Emergency
Recently, Piper’s health took a frightening turn. She began bleeding and showing signs of extreme distress. When I try to touch her, she shrieks in pain—a sound that breaks my heart every time I hear it. After an emergency room visit on 1/19/2026, doctors found that she is suffering from severe abdominal pain and sensitivity.
Preliminary tests indicate that Piper likely needs surgery for bladder stone removal. We are currently awaiting final results to confirm the exact cause and severity. The pain she is in right now is constant and heartbreaking.
Why I’m Asking for Help
As many of you know, I have just started my registered nursing program. Being a full-time nursing student is a major commitment. My finances are incredibly tight as I focus on my education so I can one day care for others. The sudden, high cost of emergency vet visits and specialized surgery is something I simply cannot cover on my own right now.
It mentally hurts me to see her in this much pain. I want nothing more than to see her back to her happy, energetic self, free from the sharp pain she may feel so that I can hold her and give her scratches.
How You Can Help
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward:
- Emergency ER diagnostic fees and imaging
- Bladder stone removal surgery
- Post-operative care and medication
If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing Piper’s story. Every share brings us one step closer to getting her the help she needs.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story and for your kindness.
With love and gratitude, Piper & David
