Hi friends, family, and our Sav’s Comfort Kitchen community,
 We are walking through one of the most vulnerable seasons our family has ever faced, and we are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support that have already surrounded us.
 Our infant daughter, Piper, was born with multiple ventricular septal defects (VSDs), meaning there are several holes in her heart that cause her heart and lungs to work much harder than they should. Because of this, she has struggled to gain weight and grow. Recently, we spent a few days in the hospital helping Piper gain weight and prepare for her upcoming heart surgery on January 8, 2026. Her surgery will require an estimated one/two-week stay in the Cardiac ICU, followed by several weeks of recovery.
This will be the first of two surgeries, with a second procedure expected in the next 6–8 months. During this time, one of us will remain at the hospital full-time with Piper, while the other cares for our three-year-old daughter, Olive.
 As the owners of Sav’s Comfort Kitchen, our business is our livelihood. Being self-employed means that when we stop working, our income stops as well. Piper’s surgery and recovery will leave us out of work for at least 4–6 weeks, while household and business expenses continue.
 We are raising funds to help cover basic living expenses, medical-related costs, ongoing business expenses, and the daily costs of an extended hospital stay.
