Laura’s young daughter, Piper, is having a craniotomy in three weeks to remove a mass with unknown cancer status. They have been through more than anyone should the last couple of years; Piper had issues with her ureters and kidneys, and she and her mom got very familiar with the inside of a hospital room. They are a pair of tough ol’ birds— the sweetest duo.
