Hi! I’m Holly, and I run PINK MU—a small-but-mighty Korean food biz in Chicago. I started this business because I believe Chicago deserves deliciously fresh, accessible, and convenient Korean food. The response in our city thus far has been beyond my expectations! But I need your help to keep going.

Right now, I’m cooking with love… and very limited equipment. I’ve been rolling hundreds of kimbap by hand, which is a superhuman task powered only by love, adrenaline, and too much caffeine. It’s time for an upgrade.

I’m raising funds to buy a kimbap rolling machine—a glorious invention that will allow us to produce 3x our current capacity to keep up with increasing demand (!), save serious time (pleeease help me sleep), and deliver fresh quality with less physical strain (my body thanks you in advance). Most importantly, it means I can continue to serve more people, keep prices fair, and grow this business sustainably.

Where the money will go:
  • Kimbap rolling machine – $15,000
  • Equipment shipping from Korea – $1,000
  • Small upgrades to support the roller (add'l prep trays, after service, etc.) – $500

The full cost of the roller is $15k. I know—that’s a lot of kimbap. But this machine is the real deal, and I wouldn't be asking for help unless I truly needed it. Our goal is to raise $10k, which allows us to partially cover the machine plus the tools we need to make it part of our workflow. I’ll cover the rest—or we’ll hit a stretch goal if this takes off.

If you’ve ever enjoyed a bite of my food, wanted to support from afar, or thought, “Damn, I wish I could have kimbap more often," this is your moment. Even $10 is a huge help. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with your food-loving friends would mean everything. I’ll be posting updates, behind-the-scenes videos, and yes—footage of the kimbap roller in action.

Thank you so much for being here and for cheering on my baby dream to feed Chicago, one kimbap at a time.

All my rice and gratitude,

Holly // PINK MU
