Hello, we at Palm Beach Karate regret to inform you that one of our most beloved parents, Pilar Salazar, has suffered a seizure at home, causing her to strike her head. Upon scanning her head, it was discovered that she had a tumor in her brain. Pilar has successfully undergone the surgery to remove the tumor, however there is still bad news. The tumor came back positive for cancer, and she will begin treatment in the next 2 weeks. For those of you who know Pilar, her two boys, Kevin and Bryan, are her world. She singlehandedly works to support them in their karate dreams and would do anything for them. This medical emergency has left Pilar unable to work, and with a long list of medical expenses that continues to grow.
