Pickles is my best friend's baby.
We adopted him from a foster mom in North Carolina. His foster mom let us know that he was found behind a barn in a puddle, struggling for his life. He was malnourished, dirty, and cold. He was found with the rest of his litter; however, he was the only survivor. He joined a different litter at the foster home with similar ages. He met his sister, Sunshine at the foster home who was then adopted by me. They are a bonded pair and they are both a year and 3 months old. He was recently taken to the vet as his gums were swollen and bleeding. We were told that he has a disease called stomatitis and therefore will need surgery to remove most of his teeth that have been impacted by this disease. The vet explained that this disease most likely impacts his personality (making him more timid), voice strength, and ability to eat. We are hopeful to raise as much money as we can to move forward with the surgery and help him to live a long, fulfilling life as Pickles Thunderbolt the 3rd :)
