Support Picasso's Life-Saving Surgery

Hello, my name is Brianna Quintana. I have created this fundraiser as a way to help pay for my cat’s unexpected medical bills. My cat’s name is Picasso and he is a lively 5-year-old black kitty. He has lived with me for two years now and until recently had been living life to the fullest. He loves staring out at the world through our windows, sleeping up high on my dresser, and taking long naps in my bed while I’m at work.
About a week ago, 4/17/2025, Picasso began to have trouble going to the bathroom, and he started to hide and even meow/hiss when we tried to pick him up. Pretty much not acting like his usual rambunctious, loving self. I quickly realized that his symptoms were not something I would be able to resolve on my own. I rushed him to an animal hospital where it was found that he had a urinary blockage. Luckily, we had found it in time, but the procedure cost close to $2,400. Picasso was also put on a prescription pet food diet for the remainder of his life to help prevent more urinary blockages.
A few days later after his procedure, Picasso began to show signs of straining again while trying to use the bathroom. I took him back to the hospital where they performed another exam. While he is currently not blocked, unfortunately, the doctor now believes that Picasso’s best option is to have a Perineal Urethrostomy surgery to help prevent more urinary blockages, which I am currently waiting for the estimates of.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Picasso’s situation. Any help would be appreciated, whether it’s through sharing or donating.
