I’m doing this on behalf of one of my best friends, my brother, and one of our founding fathers — The Gopher and his wife, Arraya, and son Poom!!

In 2018, Gopher married Arraya, and in doing so, became an amazing dad to her son, Nattaphoom — who we all know and love as “The Gangsta” or just “Poom.” Arraya has always been an incredible mom, and together they’ve built a beautiful, loving family.

But life hasn’t made it easy.

In 2023, Poom was hospitalized in Thailand with a severe blood infection, and that’s when the seizures started. Early tests pointed to a possible diagnosis of an incurable autoimmune condition called limbic encephalitis.

In February 2025, Poom came to America for more advanced care, and doctors discovered a brain tumor. Since then, the seizures have become more frequent and more severe.

Poom is now 16. He’s fighting through terrifying, debilitating seizures. The current diagnosis is a neurological brain tumor causing the seizures. Gopher is American, but Arraya and Poom are Thai — and navigating the U.S. healthcare system has been a complete disaster. The system has denied one claim from Stanford for the diagnosis and treatment he desperately needs. Medical bills are already unmanageable, and the road ahead will be a long one.

I don’t ask for help often, but I am now. Even $1 helps. I’m tired of watching families carry the crushing weight of a broken healthcare system that refuses to cover basic care.
