Support Phoenix Allsop's Fight for Life

On December 1st, Phoenix Allsop was born at 23 weeks! When Faythe checked her blood pressure, it was 190/130. She called her high-risk OB, and they suggested she take an ambulance and go to OB triage. As soon as the ambulance arrived, they immediately put her on a mag drip and Zofran, which brought it down momentarily. They then transported her to St. John’s in Springfield, Illinois, where things went from bad to worse. They pushed her BP meds to the max amount they could give safely in pregnancy. To make matters worse, she began to bleed. After looking to see what was going on, they realized Faythe was bleeding out. She had a placenta abruption, which means her placenta separated from the uterus, filling the uterus with blood, in turn beginning to drown Phoenix. Her heartbeat went from 150 (at arrival) to 110 bpm. The doctor, realizing what was happening, made an emergency decision. She was getting an emergency c-section now (during which she almost went septic). Phoenix was born breeched and not breathing on her own and had to instantly be put on a ventilator and put into an isolate. Faythe was then put on a mag drip for 3 days. This was the beginning of a long and dangerous road. Born at 1.3 pounds, she is currently fighting for her life with a level 3 brain bleed and a hole in her heart. With all of this happening, as well as living an hour away, it has taken a toll on all of us. We are asking for help to continue down this road. Having to drive back and forth constantly is certainly costing a lot, as well as for food. So we kindly ask for anything in these hard times. Anything is appreciated.
