Hello everyone!

I am reaching out to share about an exciting opportunity that I've been given; this year, I will be moving to the UK and becoming a student in Saint Aldates Church's School of Ministry. During my time in undergrad at the College of William & Mary, I had the privilege of studying abroad in Oxford, where I quickly found a tight knit community and profound spiritual growth at Saint Aldates.

I am beyond thrilled to be going back to the UK and participating in this one-of-a-kind program. In the School of Ministry, I will be receiving theological training and mentorship alongside a group of Spirit-filled young adults. Through the program, I will also be working for ACT, a charity that provides holistic care to people experiencing homelessness and re-entering society after incarceration. As per the ACT website, "Oxford is one of the UK’s most celebrated – and unequal – cities," with a high cost of living and an increasing rate of homelessness. ACT responds to Jesus' call to care for the most vulnerable in the city by providing hot meals, mentorship in prisons, housing, and community to those who need it most.

Through this opportunity, I will uniquely be able to pursue my passion for social justice and community development in faith-based contexts by learning from the ACT community, receiving high quality Biblical teaching, and growing deep friendships within Saint Aldates.

However, I cannot make this a reality by myself. I am reaching out for financial support that will help cover the program fee, housing, and airfare. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge impact and can help me reach my fundraising goal. My prayer is for this year to echo Isaiah 61, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." I invite you to join me in this next step, through prayer and/or a financial gift. I would also love prayer for this to be a spiritually transformative year, for strong community within the School of Ministry cohort, and that ACT will continue to be a place of refuge and healing for those living on the margins in Oxford.
