I was recently sexually assaulted twice in the same month and shortly after this, I attempted (and failed fortunately) to take my life. While I am grateful to be alive and to have a very supportive network of friends, I have been struggling financially. After my suicide attempt, I was briefly committed to an in-patient clinic in Norman (as every other hospital in Tulsa was full at the time) and while my insurance covered some of the costs, I have been left with staggering medical bills (roughly $10,000 all told/ $8,000 for the in-patient treatment and 2,000 for the emergency room). Additionally, because of the mental and physical trauma of my experiences, I was unable to work full-time for most of January and February, leaving me critically short on funds. I humbly ask for your help and I hope to pay it forward.
