Life can change in an instant. For my 2-year-old daughter, Phoebe, that moment came when doctors discovered a life-threatening tumor in her fourth ventricle. In January, she underwent a critical surgery to remove it, and while we are beyond grateful that the tumor was successfully taken out, our battle is far from over.
The biopsy revealed that Phoebe’s tumor was an Ependymoma Type A, a more aggressive form of cancer with a higher chance of recurrence. To give her the best possible chance at a full recovery, she has been accepted into a six-week proton radiation therapy program at Emory’s Proton Radiation Center in Atlanta.
This treatment is a blessing, but it also comes with overwhelming financial and personal challenges.
Why We Need Your Help
I have full custody of Phoebe and her big sister Aria, and I am solely responsible for their care. Unfortunately, I have a war on multiple fronts: while I have taken multiple weeks off work to be by my daughter's side at USA Children's & Women's Center (and the multiple doctor's appointments since then), I have also been dragged into a relentless, malicious legal war with my ex-wife and her family, who have drained my financial resources through endless court battles designed to break me.
Beyond the legal battles, they have launched a massive smear campaign against me—spreading lies, filing false reports, and repeatedly calling the police on me with bogus accusations in an attempt to get me in trouble. They stalk my social media, pretend to make peace, and then turn around and continue trying to take custody of my daughters in the midst of this Health Crisis, costing me thousands of dollars in attorney fees, and having to reschedule important doctor's appointments due to being frivolously dragged to custody court in the process.
Despite all of this, I continue to fight for my children and do everything in my power to give them a stable, loving home. But with my financial resources already spread thin, and the countless days I’ve had to take off work to be there for Phoebe and her big sister... I am now at a breaking point.
How Your Donation Helps
Every dollar raised will go toward:
1. Consequential Medical Support and Ongoing Affiliated Treatment costs for Phoebe.
2. Travel and Living Expenses while we stay in Atlanta for six weeks.
3. Basic necessities for my daughters while my ability to work remotely is minimal.
I have always been someone who handles things on my own, never believed in hand-outs, and always found a way no-matter what... but right now, the health and safety of my daughters during this Medical Crisis trumps my own desires & wishes.
With your donation, you are helping to ensure that my daughter Phoebe gets the treatment she needs and that I can provide for their basic necessities during this crucial Proton Radiation Treatment.
If you can donate—no matter the amount—it will make a world of difference for my family. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us during this fight. Phoebe is strong, her big sister Aria is strong... and I will never stop fighting for what's best for them.
With utmost gratitude,
Aaron Rose
