Dearest Community,

I Phoebe Brown would like to ask for your help at my time of need. At the present moment I am unemployed due my position at the Alliance of Families for Justice coming to an end due to financial stress within the organization. At the same time, my term as councilwoman came to a close, leaving me without income at this time. Unemployment has run out and I have not yet attained another paid position in the community. I am currently working to start my own organization locally (CNY Communities for Justice) to continue the important re-entry and family support work, similar to what I did with AFJ, however this process takes time and in the meantime the social security income I receive is not enough to cover all of my bills. I am hoping to raise enough money to at least pay my rent through the end of 2026.

This is not an easy request to make. Asking for help has never been easy for me, however it is easier to make the ask in this community due to the love I feel here. This experience has taught me to not be afraid to ask for help from the people who I know love me and care for me. If you're able to contribute I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and welcome any prayers to your higher power as well as job leads or other opportunities.
