Support Phil's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
To our family, friends, and kind supporters,
My dad, Phil, has recently been diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. This past month has been full of ups and downs, starting with him being on life support. On March 1st, we were blindsided to learn he was on a ventilator and in critical condition due to his liver not functioning.
After a long month, he became stable enough to begin his physical therapy rehabilitation program. Unfortunately, just 4 days later, he had to be readmitted due to complications of his condition.
We learned that given the advanced stage of his liver cirrhosis, there is a 52% chance mortality rate over the next 3 months. Fortunately, he has been connected with an amazing medical team of advocates, and we are hoping for him to undergo evaluation for a liver transplant in the near future.
He has been struggling with many mental and physical challenges. As many of you know, he has always been very stubborn and likes to take care of things himself. Unfortunately, he has become so weak that he is unable to care for himself and will require intense physical therapy with around-the-clock care.
My dad has worked extremely hard for what he has. My hope is to keep his home for him to return to and alleviate the financial burden so he can focus on his health and recovery.
Thank you all for your support.
