Support Phil Pesko’s Fight Against Leukemia

I am raising money to support Phil and his family through his battle with Leukemia.

Phil was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) in January 2024 after a routine blood test. He didn’t have any symptoms or issues and was completely caught off guard.

He was admitted to Cleveland Clinic to begin chemotherapy right away and was in the hospital for over a month.

On March 3, he was released from the hospital to go home and reunite with his kitties while beginning 2 more month-long chemotherapy regimens. This was in hopes the chemotherapy would kill the cancer cells to prep him for a bone marrow transplant.

On May 20, Phil learned that the chemotherapy has not killed all the cancer cells needed but the plan is to go through with the bone marrow transplant as scheduled on 5/31. There is a 20% chance the bone marrow transplant will be successful! After the bone marrow transplant is complete, he is going to have a long and intense road to recovery, he will be in the hospital again for 1 month and then will be released to recover at home for another 2 months and will need a full-time caretaker.

Any funds donated will be used to help offset medical bills, unexpected costs, loss of income and a his full-time caretaker (Susan, Phil’s mom, who will be unable to work her normal job during this time).

A little about Phil-

Phil is 34 years young, he has a great support system of family and friends who have been there for him. He has 2 cats that provide him with the best cuddles. He loves Harry Potter, The Office, going out with friends on the weekends and visiting his family. He works for Salesforce but is currently on leave.
