Reading GoFundMe stories is never fun and no matter how many you read it doesn’t prepare you to write one for yourself or for someone very close to you.

On Monday Night my best friend lost her husband. He was playing with the kids in the livingroom, she stepped away for literally 2 minutes and in those 2 minutes his heart just stopped. Phil was 36 years old. You never think that such a young person can be gone so you don’t prepare financially or mentally! And with this economy it’s super hard to prepare financially especially living in NY. It’s bad enough losing a husband and a father but right before the holidays is even worse. Cost of funerals has gone up insanely since Covid. Since the family didn’t see this coming, financially they are struggling to cover the funeral expenses. Family also lost a financial contributor. Phil was an awesome dad, husband, son and a great friend. We will miss him dearly. This still feels unreal but we have to keep strong for the kids. I thank everyone in advance for all of your help.
