Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,
We are Page, Bailey, Elspeth, and Kirsten Warstler, and we are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our wonderful nephew, Phillip, and his amazing, resilient family: Adam, Whitney, Hazel, and Lillian.
On October 2, 2026, our lives were turned upside down when Phillip was urgently transferred to St. Vincent Children’s Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. There, he began receiving immediate, intensive treatments for Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). Through it all, 6-year-old Phillip has been a brave little fighter, and Whitney, Adam, and Hazel have rallied right next to him every step of the way.
In just a short time, Phillip has already undergone chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, bone biopsies, lumbar punctures, port placement surgery, and numerous needle pokes. His incredible doctors are forging full steam ahead to aggressively fight this disease and help him achieve full remission.
The Road Ahead
While we are incredibly grateful for the world-class medical team taking care of him, a diagnosis of B-ALL brings immense, unexpected emotional and financial burdens. Phillip’s treatment plan will be a long, exhausting journey. He faces weekly rounds of chemotherapy alongside frequent hospital stays and clinic visits over the next several months, with an anticipated intensive treatment plan of a minimum of 8 months, with maintenance treatments stretching into the years that follow.
Because of the demanding schedule of treatments, the long commute between their home and the hospital, and Phillip’s weakened immune system, the family has made the difficult but necessary decision to stay in Green Bay for the duration of his treatments. This move is a massive undertaking, requiring a delicate balancing act of staying by his bedside, keeping his spirits high, and managing everyday responsibilities both in a new city, and back at home in Hancock.
How Your Support Helps
We have set up this GoFundMe to ease the heavy financial pressure on the family so they can focus entirely on what matters most: Phillip’s health, healing, and comfort. Every dollar raised will go directly to the family to help cover:
Relocation & Daily Living Expenses: Assisting with housing costs in Green Bay and utilities.
Uncovered Medical Expenses: Co-pays, specialized medications, and critical therapies not fully covered by insurance.
Travel & Commuting Costs: Ongoing travel to and from the hospital after the initial, intensive treatment.
Other Ways to Help
If you are unable to donate financially, you can still make a massive impact by:
Sharing this link with your own networks, on social media, or via email to help spread the word.
Keeping Phillip and the Warstler-Griffis family in your thoughts and prayers or sending positive energy their way.
We will do our best to provide updates on his progress through this page as he continues his brave fight. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and love during this incredibly challenging chapter.
With gratitude,
Page, Bailey, Elspeth, and Kirsten
