School Counselor Arrested While Aiding Student

Phillip Lo Castro was beaten by 3 police officers before being arrested after protecting a mentally ill student on the campus where he works, Grover Cleveland High School, in Ridgewood, Queens.  The incident began when the police aggressively came onto the premises, intent on detaining the student. Lo Castro who is a guidance counselor was there to comfort and help the student. The Lieutenant exacerbated the stress level of the mentally ill student with several unhelpful and aggressive comments , then attacked Lo Castro who was attempting to defend the innocent. This is not the first breech of power executed by the NYPD, who severely beat Lo Castro. Phillip Lo Castro needs and deserves the help of our community. A great, honest, and humble man who is facing several unjust felony charges. Please share and donate if you can.
