Hello, my name is Phillip, I’m a USMC 0321 operation enduring freedom (Afghanistan) combat veteran. A divorced single father who is a disabled veteran, and an 8th generation Texas patriot.
On Veterans Day, this year, 11/11/2025, I was out of town and received a call that my small house (972sqft) I was finishing burnt down, and was a complete loss. Absolutely was the worst Veterans Day of my 14 years as a veteran.
I was in the drywall hanging phase and had workers helping out that day when I received the call that my house was burnt down.
Less than three years ago I was out of town at my mother’s funeral, mesothelioma, and on the way back home to my camper I received a call that my camper burnt down.
Luckily then I had insurance. This time I didn’t have insurance on the structure in any way. I hate asking for help, but the past three years have been hell, mothers death, camper burnt down, divorced, now my almost finished house burnt up. I’ve always since I was a kid helped other out in need and into adulthood. Fighting for this nation after 9/11, and have always donated to local go fund me or charities. I’ve always helped my friends and family out.
Now I’m needing help, and it hurts my heart to need to ask for help, but I truly truly appreciate any and all help I can get to help with costs to build again.
Thank you all and God Bless!!!
P.S.
The amount I’m asking for is the total listed materials and items burnt up. Excluding
labor and items not destroyed, ex: concrete slips and blocks, septic system (repairable) from the number I’m asking for. The total is the material loss, not the total expenses spent on the house to the point of burning up.
