Last year, we won the Union’s Cup!

This year, we’re fighting just to get there.

We recognize the significant financial challenges the PRFU is navigating following recent sponsorship withdrawals. To support the Union’s efforts and build on the model from last year, players are once again coming together to contribute toward the 2026 Union’s Cup in Thailand

We respect the difficult position this creates for the union, but we also feel strongly that wearing the national jersey should be accessible to all selected players, regardless of their financial circumstances.

We’re raising funds to get the defending champions to Thailand together selected on merit, not money and to cover the core costs of touring safely and professionally.

Fundraising target

Our total team fundraising target is ₱1.1 million PHP (approximately £13,400 / $18,100 / HK$142,500 / A$25,300).

Amounts are approximate and may change slightly with exchange rates.

The first ₱650k PHP will be for tournament costs this needs to be raised by 31st of May 2026.

The 2nd ₱450k PHP will be for player contributions which cover kit, insurance and accommodation this needs to be raised by 30th June 2026.

Reaching this target allows:

• Waive the ₱15,000 player contribution so selected players aren’t priced out of representing the Philippines.

• Accommodation for the squad during the tournament period in Thailand.

• Medical and player welfare (on site medical/physio support, injury management, return to play support).

• Coaching and management support (coaching staff, team management and operations).

• Training camp and preparation (pre tournament camp in Thailand, field hire and logistics).

• Tournament and logistics costs (entry/participation, equipment transport/excess baggage, local ground transport).

• Team equipment and kit support (playing and training kit, competition equipment).

• Remove financial barriers for all selected players so selection stays based on merit, not money.

Every donation/sponsorship big or small goes directly toward reducing what players must personally pay and making this tour possible.

The PRFU has developed comprehensive sponsorship packages for players to share with potential leads. Our goal is to work hand-in-hand with the Union to ensure that wearing the national jersey remains accessible to all selected athletes based on merit, regardless of their financial circumstances.
