Support Philip Greene's Students' National Dream

Hello, my name is Philip Greene. I teach multimedia to high school students grades 10-12 at Forbes Road Career and Technology School in Monroeville, PA 15146, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. Two of my students recently placed 2nd in the Pennsylvania FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Competition in Hershey, PA. FBLA's policy qualifies the first through fourth place finishers at the state competitions to move on to Nationals in Anaheim, California, on June 29 - June 2, 2025. Although we were elated over their 2nd place finish, it is disheartening to know that our school only pays for the students and a chaperone to go to Nationals if they finish in first place.

Our student's website was hands down the best website in the group. They lost based on the polish of their presentation and the explanation of their process, not the quality of their build-out, something we can rectify with more practice. Other schools do pay for national qualifiers, but again, Forbes Road only pays for the first-place finisher. My students are eager for another opportunity to present their site. Their hearts are set on returning from Anaheim with a national title for Pennsylvania and Forbes Road CTC. Forbes Road has okayed the team going, but we must pay for the trip ourselves. We are working to generate some of the money but also need your support. The packages plus the airfare for the three of us add up to approximately $6,500.

We are asking for your support to help these young men realize their dream of competing on the national stage, showing the world who they are and the skills they have developed. All monies collected will go towards the trip's cost. Anything left over will be donated to the Forbes Road Chapter of FBLA for future competitions and activities. We appreciate your support.
