Phil Smith was a master carpenter, a devoted father, and a cherished friend. He lost his wife a few years ago, and just a few weeks ago, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Despite his strength and determination, Phil sadly passed away on January 27th, 2026, at only 44 years old. His passing has left a tremendous void in the lives of his two sons and his aunt, with whom he shared a home. Phil was the sole breadwinner for his family, and his loss has created an urgent financial crisis for those he loved most.

Phil's family is now facing immediate challenges. They need to pay rent and utilities for the next three months, as their lease does not end until then, and they must also arrange for Phil's funeral. The family plans to find a smaller, more affordable home, but in the meantime, they are struggling to cover basic living expenses and the costs associated with saying goodbye to Phil. Phil worked for me on many renovation projects, and I will miss his skill, attention to detail, honesty, and hard work deeply.
