Support Phil Slemaker’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, we are Holly, Brad, and Martin Slemaker, the children of Phil Slemaker.
On December 10, 2024, our dad was involved in a devastating car accident when a tractor-trailer ran him off the road and didn’t stop. He was ejected from his truck, sustaining severe injuries, including 10 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Since then, he has been on a ventilator, fighting for his life.
Dad’s recovery has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. After weeks in the ICU, he was transferred to a specialty hospital for long-term care, but his condition worsened there. Thankfully, he was returned to the ICU, where he is now showing signs of progress. Despite being in critical condition, he’s beginning to have more good days than bad and is working hard to get off the ventilator.
Unfortunately, insurance has become a major obstacle. Dad requires extended ICU care, but his coverage prioritizes a long-term specialty hospital, which isn’t equipped to meet his needs. After seven challenging weeks, we’re finally seeing glimpses of his vibrant, determined spirit, but the road to full recovery will be long.
Your donations will help cover Dad’s mounting medical expenses and household bills, as he won’t be able to return to work for the foreseeable future. Any amount you can contribute would mean the world to us.
We, the Slemaker family, are endlessly grateful for your support, prayers, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for standing by us and helping Dad on his journey back to health.
