Support Phil Salcedo's Stroke Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Hello friends,
On Thursday April 10th, our dad, Phil Salcedo, suffered a massive stroke. From what we understand so far, doctors have found a hole in his heart which had caused a blood clot that then traveled to his brain. Thankfully he was with family at the time and was able to be rushed to the hospital right away, but he wasn't able to walk or talk at the time. Over the past week he has regained some ability to speak slowly, and take some steps with assistance. The doctors think that because he is still young and strong, he has a great chance of recovery which will involve physical rehab and many other life and home adjustments. He has a long road ahead of him, but has a strong family support system and an amazing network of friends and co-workers from both Bluefoot and Livewire.
We're starting this GofundMe in hopes to raise money for his recovery. Unfortunately, like many people in the bar and restaurant industry, our dad did not have health insurance at the time of his stroke. We anticipate not just many medical bills, but a future that will involve lots of rehab in hopes to get him back to a normal life. Anything you can donate will be so greatly appreciated. We know how loved our dad is in this community and are really hoping that this can help him.
Thank you in advance, Phil says he loves each and every one of you.
Thank you all for the support,
