Support Phil Ellis's Second Chance literally at life

I am trying to reach out on behalf of Phil Ellis, a kind and humble well known Manchester, NH landscaper, who has faced unimaginable hardship but now has a second chance at life — and needs your help to rebuild it.

As a former landscaping business owner, Premow Lawncare, he was in overall good health until just a few years ago. Phil was diagnosed with type II diabetes. The condition progressed quickly, leading to a devastating case of gangrene in his foot, which then caused sepsis — a life-threatening infection that usually spreads rapidly through the body. Doctors gave him just one week to live. He was placed in hospice care, and with a heavy heart, Phil gave up his apartment and all of his possessions, preparing for the end.

But something incredible happened.

Against all odds, Phil survived.

The sepsis stabilized itself (no medication), completely stunning his doctors and caregivers. Despite the immense toll on his body and spirit, he pulled through. He will need to get his leg amputated and endure lots of physical therapy to adapt. He is slowly regaining strength and is determined to live — but he is starting from scratch.

He has no home. No furniture. No clothes beyond what he was given in care. No financial means. All he has is his will to live and the hope that others will help him begin again.

This GoFundMe is to give Phil Ellis a second chance.

Safe, stable housing (he will now need handicapped accessible housing)

Basic furniture and household needs

Clothing and personal care items

Medical supplies and follow-up care

Transportation to medical appointments

A small emergency fund to help stabilize his life
