Hi, My name is Pha, please take a few minutes of your time and read my story:

Dearest Family, Friends, and community,

I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this, but today I am humbly reaching out. I am scheduled to report to immigration/ICE soon, and I do not know what the outcome will be. My greatest concern is going in without legal representation. I am asking for help to retain an attorney so I can face this situation prepared and with the proper legal support. I came to the United States with my family after the Vietnam War when I was just 8 years old. This country has been my home ever since. In my late teens, I made poor choices that led to incarceration. I take full responsibility for my past. I served my time- 24 years- and since my release, I have worked hard to rebuild my life. Today, I am a husband and a father. My family is my world. I report to immigration annually and apply for my working permit so I can continue working and providing for them, in mid 2024 I reapplied and I was denied then I lost my job, and I have been without work since then. However, due to my record and the uncertainty surrounding deportation policies, I am facing the possibility of removal. Despite my fears, I am choosing to do what is right and attend my appointment. I want to walk in with an attorney by my side, ready to advocate for me and my family. As a man of faith, I trust that God is in control-but I also know He calls us to prepare and seek help when needed. That is why I am asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward legal fees and representation. If you are unable to give, I ask for your prayers and for you to share this fundraiser.
