Hello dear friends,
My name is Ahmed, a final-year pharmacy student. I once had a simple dream: to graduate, pursue higher education, and serve my community and family. But since October 7, everything changed. Life stopped. And so did my dream.
I used to live a normal life, waking up every morning to attend university, studying with hope for a better future, and spending time with my friends. We laughed, we dreamed. But the war stole it all.
My university is Completely destroyed.
My friends, most of them lost to the bombing.
Electricity and internet has Gone.
Every day, I walk long distances just to charge my laptop and phone, and find a place with internet so I can continue studying. All this effort, just to hold on to what’s left of my future.
Today, I’m so close to graduating, but I’m stuck. I can’t pay the final semester’s tuition because of the war and without paying the fees, I won’t receive my graduation certificate. I feel crushed under the weight of financial, emotional, and psychological stress.
We’ve been displaced many times. We lived in tents for months. When we returned home, it was partially destroyed. My father tried to fix what he could, and we’ve done our best to survive. But the pain is deeper than broken walls, it’s the pain of losing safety, education, and hope.
I’m reaching out to you from the heart:
Please help me complete my education, Help me graduate, Help me pursue my dream of studying abroad, earning a Master’s and PhD in pharmacy so I can one day return, rebuild, and give my family the life they deserve.
