Hi everyone, this is my boyfriend Peyton. He has been in a traumatic and extremely horrific accident at the age of 18, all at the dairy farm where he works, at minimum 70+ hours a week for us and works very, very hard.

He was working with someone else as he had backed up a bit, the PTO (power take-off system) sucked his sweatshirt in and spun his arm around, dragging him across the ground, and sucking him up to his shoulder to where he was choking and could not breathe to yell for help.

Thankfully, his boss saw and stopped the PTO. Peyton was rushed to the ER where he only spent about 40 minutes max. They did what they could and decided he needed to be sent almost 2 hours away to the best hospital in Maine to have intensive surgery immediately when he arrived. He broke almost his entire arm, and burned 8% of his arm, burning his sweatshirt to him as well. He broke his arm in four different places and had a metal disk put in.

We have found out we will be here at least two weeks now, and he will have another surgery for the 8% of his arm that was burned.

As we are very young, this is extremely traumatic and stressful. We are going to be at the hospital for Thanksgiving, and that has taken a huge toll on both of us. He’s had a rough time with this situation as he will be out of work for at least a few months now and will need a lot of physical therapy/orthopedic therapy to get back to a normal state.

We’ve set this up to help Peyton with any expenses for his aftercare to keep his wounds clean and bandaged. And for him to not have to worry about doing a lot for a while.
