Support Peyton's Fight Against Cancer

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us with encouragement and support in various ways. We are so thankful to God for you.

Here, my wife (Anna) and I (Peyton) want to present an opportunity to you to care for us financially as I undergo cancer treatments starting in late April 2025. This is only one of the ways that you can care for us (we relish your prayers, visits, messages, and encouragements even more), but we have been contacted by many who wish to send financial support, so we felt compelled to open such an avenue here.

On March 23, 2025, I was checked into the emergency room for severe headaches, which I believed to be from a sinus infection. However, doctors unexpectedly discovered and then surgically removed a golf-ball sized tumor from the right frontal lobe of my brain - a malignant metastatic melanoma. The surgery was successful and I was discharged from the hospital later that week, but the team of oncologists also discovered several other concerning melanomas throughout my body. They then recommended I begin regular immunotherapy treatments for the next two years to treat the cancerous cells - the standard of care for treating the melanoma they uncovered. Although this was a good prognosis, we are grieved by the news. Having metastatic cancer and a brain surgery was not what either Anna or I had in mind when we married in August 2024.

Over the course of the next two years, we estimate that we will need upwards of $15,000: at least $6500 for initial insurance costs, and the rest for the insurance costs in the next two years as well as additional expenses related to my treatments. This amount is not a prerequisite for treatments but instead marks a goal we hope to reach. Since this number will likely change as we receive bills, we will update the GoFundMe as needed.
