Update – June 13
First off, thank you so much to everyone who’s helped me and Anaïs stay safe so far. We've raised $2,960, and it’s helped cover a hotel, gas, groceries, and essentials these past two weeks.
But as June continues, we’re still in survival mode. I’m trying to stay strong for my daughter, but without more support, I may not be able to cover next week’s stay. I need help covering housing, food, and transportation while I fight for proper medical care and deal with unsafe living conditions.
If you can share this or help in any way, it means more than I can say. Every bit helps me keep us going until I can fully rebuild.
My name is Peyton, and I’m a 28-year-old single mom to my 4-year-old daughter, Anaïs. I’ve spent the past decade fighting to be believed about my health. After years of systemic dismissal, I’m finally getting answers — including a diagnosis of POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and autonomic instability, which causes fainting, vomiting, severe fatigue, blood pressure spikes, and life-disrupting "crashes" that leave me bedridden.
I’m also undergoing further testing for mast cell activation issues, possible hypermobility spectrum disorder, myofascial pain syndrome, and endocrine irregularities that have been present since early childhood. These are lifelong, invisible conditions that require extensive care, and I’m just beginning that journey.
As I started this process of healing and advocating for my health, my job announced that our entire Tampa office is being dissolved. This change has put me into a large group of layoffs, and I’m now losing the only income I had to survive.
Why We Can’t Stay in Our Home
On top of all this, we were forced out of our apartment because of severe mold that had been hidden inside the walls. My daughter and I became increasingly sick while living there. Despite earlier complaints, the mold was never truly addressed. I was only able to leave because of a friend who let us stay with her — but she’s moving, and we now have days before we’re without a safe place to go.
With my health, I can’t risk sleeping in unsafe conditions. And with my daughter, I won’t.
Why I’m Asking for Help
This isn’t just a request for a donation — this is a request for community. For safety. For stability.
This fund would help us:
Secure safe emergency housing
Cover medical costs and mobility needs
Provide essentials and food for my daughter and me
Sustain us through a job and income transition
Rebuild a life where we can actually heal
I’m not asking to be saved. I’m asking for help so I can finally stop surviving and start building something better.
What This Fund Will Cover
Goal: $18,000
Category Estimated Amount
Emergency housing (6 mo) $6,000
Groceries + essentials $2,000
Medical + mobility costs $3,000
Car + transportation $1,000
Child support (clothing, care) $2,000
Tech + remote job transition $1,500

This fund would give me 6+ months of survival runway to stabilize housing, heal, and seek sustainable remote income.
