Hello friends!

I'm Petrichor (they/them), a genderqueer person who is finally receiving gender-affirming care in the form top surgery. I am so excited to be taking this step to becoming the true me!

I have the privilege of having insurance that covers part of the cost of the surgery. For the most part, we have planned for this cost, barring any surprises.

What I was not planning on was having to travel to have the surgery done. My initial referral for a surgeon in my area was rejected due to the surgeon being fatphobic. Because of this, I am having to travel to receive surgery.

We did not plan on this when budgeting, so I am raising funds to cover the cost of our rental, which is $6,305. We are staying for 10 days due to my health issues that complicate surgery.

Any amount helps, and any extra raised will go towards the out of pocket surgery costs, as well as care items needed after surgery (like a wedge pillow, button up shirts, gauze, etc).
