Our sweet boy, Pete, started showing signs of discomfort and was unable to use the bathroom on August 13th, so we rushed him to the emergency vet to be seen. They said he had a blockage in his bladder from crystals forming (kidney stones in the process of starting), and they kept him overnight for treatment and sent him to Welcome Waggin the next day for more treatment and monitoring. He was sent home after doing better but had to return to the emergency vet over the weekend due to another blockage. He’s now back at Welcome Waggin with recurring life-threatening blockages over the past week, so the vet’s recommended course of action is surgery. Pete will be having surgery this Friday involving the removal of his penis and the creation of a wider urethral opening to keep him from continuing to form blockages and to save his life. With him being only around 5 years old and otherwise healthy outside of the blockages, we feel surgery is the best route for him.

Unfortunately, all of these vet stays the past week and this surgery have been very costly. We’re currently trying to raise money to go towards his most recent vet stay and upcoming surgery, and appreciate any help greatly!
