Help Peter Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Hi, I’m reaching out from Tampa Bay to share the story of my dear friend and former neighbor, Peter. Peter has always been a dreamer, and when he finally got the keys to his new home, it felt like a dream come true. After years of hard work and saving, he found a charming little house that he could truly call his own. He poured his heart into making it a warm and welcoming space. His laughter and joy filled every corner, creating a home where countless memories were made.
But everything changed with Hurricane Helene. The storm surge hit hard, and despite Peter’s best efforts to prepare, the damage was devastating. His beloved home, the place where he felt safe and happy, was left in ruins. The walls that once echoed with laughter now stand silent and broken.
Peter is not just heartbroken; he is overwhelmed. He has always been a pillar of support for his friends, ready with a listening ear or a helping hand. Now, he finds himself in need of support from those he has helped over the years.
I’m asking for your generosity to rally around Peter during this incredibly difficult time. I aim to raise funds to cover his immediate needs, including temporary housing, clothing, food, and essentials. I promise that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Peter to help him get back on his feet.
Let’s show Peter the same love and support he has always given to others. Together, we can help him rebuild his home and restore his hope. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Message from Peter: We have spent hundreds on basics such as garbage bags, boxes, cleaning supplies shoes, clothes and dog beds 36,000 on a trailer. 1299 on a generator to use until the electrician came and then 1200 on an rv hookup. I have a 70k magic collection including large stage illusions like a John Gaugn Chair suspension, oragami, crystal casket, vanishing bird cages, a piano, stage sound equipment and lighting that are gone. The rest of our items are personal and many electronics will have to be replaced. Also all of our clothes except what we took to a hotel room are gone. Gowns for Ruby, suits for stage, street clothes etc All got touched by sewage and have to go, i am only getting 1000 dollars max on these items from the flood insurance. They are ripping out my cabinets but will not replace the countertops. Your help is greatly appreciated on this very trying time. My house is in shambles with drywall removed and all doors removed. It is a disaster in every sense of the word.
