Hi, my name is Lauren and I am fundraising for my beloved first pet, Peter, for his GI surgery. Little Pete is almost 1 year old, and he is needing surgery due to a blockage in his GI tract. Peter was adopted from the Linda McNatt Animal Shelter in Denton, TX in July 2023, as a birthday present for my 25th birthday. I am fundraising for his surgery so he can live to see his 1st birthday, and more more birthdays to come.

The vet has tried many medical interventions (IV fluids, enema, etc.) before resorting to surgery, but he has a blockage that will not move out of his GI tract, and he refuses water and food. Getting surgery for Peter will save his life and ensure that he can stay at home with me and his cat brother, Paul.

Peter is full of life, caring, and so, so loving. I cannot imagine him losing his life this young, and too soon, which is why I am fundraising as much as I can for his surgery.

I am a graduate student in counseling, and I, unfortunately, do not have the extra funds to pay for his surgery out-of-pocket. During graduate school, he has been my (registered) emotional support buddy and he's such as great brother to Paul, my other furry companion. (Did you know: Peter and his brother both share a birthday.)
